Another day of classes come and gone. Once again I've come out feeling as if I'll never live up to the expectations I place for myself. Why must the professors make me feel so incompetent? I really do try hard, I do. It's just that it doesn't seem good enough some times. This year I was named Ravenclaw prefect and I had such wonderful plans for my house. But when I come down to it, I haven't done half of the things I wanted to accomplish with this year and now it's almost over. My friends all seem happy with where they are at but I'm simply left behind in the dust, living a life in which I may seem happy and fulfilled but I'm secretly crying for help. I push those away from me that try to help, though, and later I regret it with all my heart. I guess I'm destined to a life of loneliness and ignorance; to be a woman who seems to have everything going for her but behind the mask has nothing but heartbreak.

Who would have thought potions would be so bad this year! Snape gave an overview of everything we would have to learn to go on to next year and it is absolutely CRAZY! The man is crazy! Plus he gets this evil look in his eye when he talks about the more deadly potions we will be creating. I am so glad I can't read what's going on in his mind...
Transfiguration was rather fun and I'm looking forward to all the new things we'll be learning. I must say that I really like McGonagall, even though she can be rather strict. However, she is so fair that when I get a bad grade on something I feel as if I truly did deserve it. I really have to respect that.
Well, those were the only classes I had for today (though they were longer classes) but I do have a large amount of homework. I'll write more soon!

Today began the first day of my sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I can't believe that I have only one more year after this. It seems like time has passed so quickly!
The feast seemed to pass by quickly after the first years were sorted and it wasn't long before I was with my friends again in the girl's dorm. It was so great to see them again since I didn't see many people over the summer. As I write this most of the girls are sleeping and I should likely do the same since I get to see Snape's lovely face in the morning. Oh joy! *Please note the sarcasm*
Off to bed, my dear friend. I'll be sure to write about the day's events tomorrow!
